About Geelong ArtSHOw
“Our vision is to firmly establish The Geelong Art Show as an integral part of the vibrant art scene in Geelong. Making a meaningful impact on the community in three key ways”
Empowering Local Artists
The Geelong Art Show opens its doors to Artists in Geelong and across Victoria, offering a unique platform to showcase their creativity. In 2024, we're introducing an additional category, with plans for more in the coming years as space and infrastructure allow. Our goal is to provide a dynamic stage for talented artists statewide, fostering a community that celebrates and supports their incredible artwork. Together, let's build an inclusive space where artistic expression thrives, and creativity knows no bounds.
Engaging the Local Community
The Geelong Art Show stands as a unique and singular event within the City of Greater Geelong, offering a rare opportunity for the local community and beyond to appreciate and acquire remarkable masterpieces crafted by our talented local artists. Open to the public on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm (August 17th) and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm (August 18th), this exceptional showcase ensures a diverse array of artistic expressions.
Supporting Australian Charities
The Geelong Art Show extends beyond the artistic expression. It is a catalyst for positive change. All surplus funds generated from the event will be directed towards Australian charities each year dedicated to supporting the local community. Collaboratively we will forge an enduring legacy marked by artistic brilliance intertwined with community support.

ENTRIES CLOSE at 5pm on the 19th OF JULY
Born in Melbourne I studied painting under Ron Crawford, John Balmain and Alan Martin. Nurturing my passion for art since the late seventies I have been fortunate to maintain an art practice most of my life. Whilst living in England I held 2 solo shows and exhibited with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Royal Birmingham Art Society. At home I have had a further 14 solo shows and contributed to many group shows. During this time I have raised a small family and run a business.
I was proprietor of art@wintergarden studio/gallery from 2004 to 2017 providing me with a fabulous studio space from which to work, teach, and exhibit. Running an annual program of 12 exhibitions a year with a strong local focus. More recently I have concentrated on my own art practice and teaching schedule.
Making art occupies much of my life giving me great satisfaction. To convey something to others is a genuine source of happiness. Bringing this same joy and reverence to teaching, while sharing the challenge of depicting our world.
